Clinton Gourmet - Authentic Chinese Cuisine in Clinton, MA

I've been here many times since I moved nearby. The food is very good and the value is excellent, especially the lunch specials, where you can get a bowl of soup, appetizer, large main dish with fried rice and a fortune cookie for under $7. Best won-ton soup I've ever had, and their hot & sour soup is second only to my home-made variety. The service is usually very good but can be slow at times, and the decor is nothing special, but the food in my experience is consistent, very good, and a tremendous value. Don't be put off by the poor-fair decor rating...you don't come here to be wowed by Ming dynasty pottery or massive aquariums. The Clinton Gourmet is a divey Chinese restaurant and bar, but it's really good for what it is.

Takeout only. My favorite suburban Massachusetts Chinese restaurant. It’s nothing to write home about but 10 years in San Francisco and I still crave this spot’s peeking ravioli and chicken with cashew nut. There’s something very lovable and homey about the food. Always hot and always stuffed full containers to go.

Ordered take out. I ordered 2 appetizer combo plates, 1 large side order of egg rolls, large beef fried rice & large beef w/ broccoli (to feed 3 big guys) The owners Katy & Joe are the nicest people you will ever meet. I have been a customer of their restaurant since 2008. Their food is always constantly fresh, hot & very flavorful. They are only offering take out at this time but, there food is worth the drive to & from their restaurant. Give them a try & you will not be disappointed

Excellent food and service. Joe and Katie always remembers my drinks and even what I like to eat. The kids there are adorable. They're a very cute family restaurant. And I think the french fries here are MUCH better than McDonald's; they are nothing like the regular fries at other fries. They're actually very crispy and fresh.

Update: 9/18/22: we've been here a few times since the winter. The food has progressively gotten better, and is back to where it was. No more traveling out of town for Chinese food. Thanks for all your hard work Clinton Gourmet! Update 2.20.22: for whatever reason, many of the recipes here have changed. Unfortunately, it's not nearly as good as it was. Neat and clean little place, operated by a charming couple. Ordered egg foo yung, pork fried rice, chicken wings, and egg rolls. Everything was yummy, hot, and fresh. The wings are a bit smallish, but great tasting, and you can order them with no batter. Highly recommend.

Ignore the bad reviews, they are complete lies. I have been going here consistently for years, and the food has always been fresh, delicious, big portions. Best Chinese food and the service is so sweet!

The food is always consistently good, and large portions. Everything on the menu has been great, as I try to order something different every time. My only gripe is that, they are so busy that often the wait can be long, and often if they say your food will be ready in 30mins, it will likely be an hour. That said, it is worth the wait!
